I am not becoming a fashion blogger. That feels a little stressful to me, having to wake up and worried if what you're picking out to wear will look good on the Internet. Yep. Not doing that every day. But you guys know I love fashion. Fashion Forward Fridays is my pride and joy. Most of the blogs I follow are fashion blogs. And I did tell you that there would be a few changes and be a bit more "Chels" on this blog for a while. So since I love fashion, this is the kind of thing you'll see here on Wednesdays.

I've been hearing this "business casual" term a lot this summer. Mostly because of the job hunt but no one seems to know how to define it. When someone labels an event, or a job tells you to wear business casual, no one really gets what that means. So this is an outfit I wore to work recently, because we are "business casual" but the same day one of my co-workers showed up in leggings and flip-flops. She looked cute, but I wouldn't consider her outfit in this category. What do you think business casual means? Where do you draw the line?

  1. I love the color of your skirt :)

I wanted to invite you to our Meet & Greet Blog Hop, it runs from Tuesday nights till the end of Saturday! Come link up if you have some time :)

  2. You look wonderful. These colors are really good together and I like the texture of the top with the skirt. Business casual terrifies me! I do not want to enter that world yet.

Also as a fashion blogger, I don't wake up thinking if my clothes will look good on the internet. I couldn't imagine if that was my line of thought. Is that why some bloggers go a little nutty? Cause I'm going nutty thinking about it.

    1. Thanks, Jessica! And you're one of the few fashion bloggers who don't make it sound like a chore to keep up with...like very few lol Hopefully I'll be able to keep positive about getting dressed and it's still fun for me to put outfits together. I love fashion so I hope to stay in love with it and not feel like it's a chore like some bloggers make it seem like. (That's why I'm only doing it in small doses haha)

  3. I absolutely love this! I bought a green pencil skirt not too long ago and it has gone into rotation at least every other week. Yours looks great paired with the lace top!

Business casual is such a grey area. I think as long as you have on a nice pair of pants or skirt and a nice top it would fall into the category. No flip flops though, lol!

  4. You go girl!!! Looking classy and cute! Love the pop in the bag! :)

  5. How fun! I never thought of neon pink and army green together--great styling!

    1. Thanks, Haley! I'm all about pairing colors that don't necessarily go together.

I love you for leaving a comment and do my best to reply to each one! I no longer accept anonymous commenting because of the amount of spam I was getting - I hope this isn't a problem for you. Thanks for checking out my blog :)
