I hate myself for being so match-matchy with this look, but the more I look at these pictures, the more I become okay with it. And this outfit matches my "blog theme" although that might annoy me after awhile. Oh well. These photos were taken at the electrical power plant in Ellwood City, the same plant that had some major issues not too long ago which left EC without electricity for about 14 hours. I'm sure if you follow my personal Twitter account, you heard me complain about that for about 13 of those hours.
I had originally thought about this outfit with a Marilyn Monroe graphic t-shirt I have and then when I was looking for it, I realized that it, along with about half of my wardrobe, is in storage from when I moved. Boo. But I did find this tank that I thought I gave away and am now glad I did not! I remember buying this with
MJ, he likes it because the back has an awesome lace detail (sorry you cannot see it because I'm wearing a vest) and I like it because it says LOVE on the front. Awe. I also bought this telephone necklace in that same shopping trip, which MJ hates. Who says I can only wear clothing and accessories that my boyfriend actually likes? That is lame and I would probably have to give a lot of stuff away if that were the case! That is the one good thing about a "long distance relationship" - I wear what I want and don't have to hear him complain about it :)
I'm sure he does the same too.
That's a cute top though! I've been in a long distance relationship too and I so know what you mean, although I'm sure he'll love your outfit just the same :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! And you're right, he'd probably be okay since I was in it lol
DeleteYes, I'm sure my wardrobe would be so tame if I only wore what my husband liked! Haha! I love this outfit Chelsea! The hot pink accessories really pop. And I love the long, slim maxi skirt. You look so cute! <3

Thanks so much, Toni! And that's obviously why we cannot let our men rule our wardrobes haha!
DeleteI have a hard time with matchy matchy, but then I end up loving it. The tanks is really cute and I love the vest with the outfit too!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Sometimes I just fall into the trap of matching everything and then just think about it al day lol
Deleteyou made that skirt? So cute girly! Love this outfit! Following you I would love it if you followed me back :)
ReplyDeleteNightchayde
Yes I did, it used to me a full dress but I no longer liked the top so I fixed that lol Thanks for following! I'll be sure to check out your blog too!
DeleteSometimes matchy matchy just happens organically and I go with it. Usually, though, my outfits are a pile of several bright colors with a messy bun on top. I'm loving the ease of maxi skirts this summer - love that you made this one!

Thanks, Michelle! I am usually a ball of colors too but sometimes I just end up matching everything!
DeleteChelsea, I love the ring from the festival. Lookin' good, as always.

Thanks, Miss Sara!
DeleteFor some reason I am a sucker with anything that has the word LOVE on it and to have it in sequins!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat could be better?
Brett
Me too, Brett! I always want to buy everything that says love on it and I rarely ever pass up sequins!
Deletei love this tank...so glad you found it and didn't get rid of it! and i don't think the outfit is too matchy matchy. i love the pop of the belt. you look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I was so happy when I found this tank again!
