Chels Wears: Winter Layers

Belt & Cardigan: Target | Hat: Charlotte Russe | Chambray, Jeans & Scarf: WalMart
Ring: Old Navy | Flannel Shirt: thrifted | Leg Warmers: WalMart
Well, if you were here yesterday, then you know last night we hosted Thanksgiving dinner at one of Eric's churches for some people in need. And it went great! I'm so proud haha I was really nervous that there wouldn't be enough food and that the turkey would be awful, but everyone was fed and loved it! This was the first time I ever cooked Thanksgiving dinner and figuring out how to cook a turkey was a learning experience, to say the least. Now I feel like a real grown up.

These pictures were taken at a nearby park while I was waiting for the turkey to finish up. This was also the quickest photo session that Eric and I have ever done because it was freeeeezing outside. I'm not excited about winter officially being in Erie, but snow makes for some pretty pictures and I do love layering! But so commences the quick photo session season. Hopefully we'll get good photos on the first try like we did with these ones. Not to shabby for (literally) the only photos we took.

Kushyfoot Review: Stylish & Comfy Footwear

Some of the products that Kushyfoot sent to me. (Anchor flats: Target | Heels: Charlotte Russe)

I have to admit two things before going on with this review, 1) I hate socks and 2) I really hate silky socks. So when Kushyfoot sent me a bunch of their products to test out for this review I was very hesitant to try them out. I have heard great things about this company through some blog friends, most specifically their thicker tights an comfy feet cushions, so I knew that these couldn't be too bad.

While I still don't like the silky feel to them and I'm not going to convert to wearing socks or foot covers under all my heels now, I have to say that wearing these do save my feet from pain. I actually have really sensitive feet and they begin to hurt easily in any kind of shoes (including flats) so it was nice to be able to save myself some grief thanks to the cushioning in all of these socks.

I also really like that they come in all kinds of styles and cover various areas of the foot. Not all of these would work with every pair of shoes and I really like that Kushyfoot has obviously taken the time to figure out which kinds would work for different kinds of footwear. Kushyfoot also offers; tights, knee-highs, slippers, flats and a men's sock line, in addition to the women's socks and foot covers. You can order online but also I have seen a lot of Kushyfoot products make their way to Rite Aid and CVS stores recently in case you want to try some out before buying different styles online. Hopefully you will give these a try soon and be able to keep your feet comfy and still stylish this summer!

This is a sponsored post but all opinions are my own.

Chels Wears: Dressy Gothic

Dress: Walmart | Shoes: Guess | Necklace: Charlotte Russe
Anytime I wear a lot of black, my mom always asks if I'm Gothic. I'm not sure she totally knows what that means but this is the first black outfit that I've worn in front of her that she did not ask me that question. That was before I decided to pose for these pictures in front of a rundown graveyard though.

I am in love with this dress. I saw it at Walmart about a month ago and have been lusting after it ever since. So when I went there a week ago and saw it in my size, I had to have it. When I think about a piece that long, I know it's meant to be in my closet! I don't think I realized that the underneath part is much shorter than the sheer overlay until actually putting it on, but I think I like it even more because of that. It gives it a little something extra. Also, not pictured is an awesome little cutout in the back which is the real reason I was lusting for this dress. I am always hooked when an interesting back is on a dress or shirt. In other news, these shoes are Guess and my old college roommate gave them to me for free because she said they just didn't fit her right. Score! Thanks, Sara!

Chels Wears: Firmoo In Red (& A Giveaway)

Sweater & Bracelets: Charlotte Russe | White top: Kmart | Pants: delia's | Shoes: KANDALS | Necklace: Urban Outfitters

You guys! It was a balmy 40 degrees here yesterday afternoon! It quickly went back into the teens in the later afternoon, but around lunchtime, when we took these pictures, it was 40ish. It was rainy and warm(ish) so I was allowing my ankles to see the light of day and went with a little cuff to my red skinnies. Have I mentioned how much I love these pants? They are seriously my favorite. If they weren't so obviously bright red, I'd probably try to get away with wearing them even more than I do.

Today's outfit was entirely based around my new glasses from Firmoo. Now, I know I have mentioned my love for glasses recently and being given these bright beauties in the mail was exciting. I actually do not like the color red, but every time I wear it I'm told it's "my color" so why not look my best, right? I'm slightly disappointed in the size of these frames, for some reason I thought they'd be a bit larger, which has become more of my style, but I still really like the way they look on me. And if you're not looking closely, the red sides would surprise you, which is always fun for me. These frames are also extremely comfortable. For someone who loves glasses but does not wear them on a daily basis, it's sometimes hard for me to adjust to wearing them, but I had no problem with these frames like I have had with some others.

And for those of you who are looking into getting some new frames, here's your chance to win some! Firmoo is giving FIVE of my readers a pair to have, you only have to pay for shipping! Not a bad deal when it comes to how expensive glasses can be. So check out the frames Firmoo has to offer and good luck in trying win a pair for yourself!

This is a sponsored post, I received these glasses as a gift, but all opinions are my own.

Chels Wears: The Blues

Scarf & Chambray: Walmart | Ring: Charlotte Russe | Vest: Boscov's | Pants: Target | Shoes: Kmart

I'm not sure if you can tell by my total lack of enthusiasm in these photos or by my multiple shades of blue, but I'm so over winter. Eric and I took these pictures on the front steps of the house, notice all that show around my feet? Yeah, we don't usually use these steps, just wanted to show you the amount of snow we've got in the past week. I've had enough! On the bright side...29 days until spring.

To be real honest, the only reason I needed to leave the house yesterday was to grab a couple ingredients from the grocery store for our dinner, so we're lucky I even have real pants on. Those of you who know me "in real life" know that I never wear sweatpants in public, and it's so awful right now, I almost broke my own rule when I went to return movies to Family Video last night. But, I just couldn't bring myself to do that, so pulling on jeans real quick felt like a serious chore. 29 days, 29 days, 29 days, 29 days...

Chels Wears: Lips & Love

Sweater: Old Navy | Blazer: Boscov's | Lips Scarf & Black Skinny Jeans: WalMart
Red Heels: Wet Seal | Bow Ring: Charlotte Russe

Guys, I cannot pay attention about what to write because I keep staring back at the TV because of the Olympics. They make snow look cool and fun to play in! Except then I go out and realize that they must be freezing over in Sochi. Anyway, I think I like the winter games more because I actually watch more of the events, but that is the only reason I like winter haha

This outfit is, quite obviously, Valentine's Day inspired. And yes, there are shoulder pads in this blazer, because I don't mind a strong looking shoulder. Thank you Lady Gaga for bringing back the large shoulder look. Also, I bought these heels in Georgia in 2009 during a Habitat for Humanity trip. What? Yeah that happened, and I love them. Also, lips on my scarf? Yes, please - how could I not make this Valentine's outfit with great love-based items like these in my closet? How are you all dressing for the season?

Chels Wears: Aztec & URBANOG

Boots: URBANOG | Leg Warmers & Leggings: WalMart
Beanie: Charlotte Russe | Aztec Shirt: Peebles | Chambray & Scarf: WalMart
I'm probably behind on this one, but URBANOG is fabulous. A friend of mine recently introduced me to them and I have to say that I absolutely love them, also no, this is not a sponsored post. I was just so surprised to see the wide selection offered on this website and the ridiculously low prices. These boots are a fairly recent purchase from them and I am in love! I've been looking for a pair of lace up boots for what seems like forever and these are perfect.

I was worried at first that this outfit wouldn't work because I have rather muscular calves (thanks to dancing my whole life) so boots never fit just right, especially when I put leg warmers on too, but these are just right and I am a picky customer, so that's a high compliment. AND they were having a BOGO sale when I got these, so I also finally got sneaker wedges. Win!

In other news, thanks for all the love and positive vibes you all sent my way yesterday, regarding this post. That post was important to me and something I felt like I needed to get out for a while so I'm glad it was so well received. Also, snow...I'm over it. These pictures were taken around 4pm and I'm standing in the middle of the road. Great plow truckin' around these parts if you ask me.

Chels Wears: Flannel & Lace

Lace Tank: American Eagle | Lace Scarf & Belt: Unknown | Ring, Bracelets & Necklace: Charlotte Russe
Flannel: WalMart | Jeans & Cardigan: JCPenney | Boots: Payless
Oh hey, -12, but feels like, -29 degree weather! I hate your stinkin' guts. Seriously though, how are some of you ladies going outside and standing out there until you get pictures that are worthy of putting on your blog? Not so much over here, especially since I have to convince my photographer (aka: my brother) to go outside with me. But, plus side of living with your brother, who is a pastor...living in a house that is connected to a church that has a lot of little spaces to take pictures in. Like this cute little library! The library in this church is actually quite extensive, which is impressive to me. It's actually divided up by sections of genre and people from the church donate books to be checked out there. Does anyone else have a library like this in their church because it seems like an amazing idea to me.

In other news, my brother would also like for me to tell all of you that this flannel shirt is his. So, hey everyone, this is Eric's shirt. To be fair, I bought it for him for his birthday and I asked permission before stealing it for the day. I just have a beef with women's flannels because most of the ones that I have and see in stores are not real flannel. They are really just plaid and are not of the flannel material that actually keeps you warm. Ain't nobody got time for that! It feels like -29 degrees outside, I need a real flannel!

Hope you all are staying warm!
